The Johann Heinrich von Thünen Lecture honours exceptionally distinguished members of the Verein für Socialpolitik (German Economic Association) and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to economics in German-speaking countries. The topic of the lecture is determined by the speaker.
This year, we had the honour of inviting Ulrike Malmendier (UC Berkeley / SVR) to give the Thünen Lecture. The topic of the lecture was "Homo Experiens".
