The Verein für Socialpolitik has created the role of Diversity Officer. Doris Weichselbaumer will hold this position from 2025 to 2026.

Female researchers in the field of economics
To increase the visibility of female economics researchers in committees and the media, the VfS and the Joachim Herz Foundation have compiled a publicly accessible list of female economists in the D-A-CH region. Entry to the list is independent of VfS membership.
Promoting women in the economic sciences
To promote women in the economic sciences, the Narrower Board of the Verein für Socialpolitik has established a working group comprising an Executive Committee and an Advisory Council.
