Salary according to German public service tariff (TVöD 14)

From € 49.000 gross p.a. up to € 62.000,00 gross p.a. depending on qualifications;

The position shall be filled as soon as possible and is limited until 31 December 2020.

 

As a member of an interdisciplinary team, the researcher will contribute through research and policy advice to international debates on green finance. Her/his focal areas will be on innovative financial instruments, regulation and policies to incentivize ecologically sustainable investments, such as green funds, environmental fiscal reforms, carbon pricing or carbon disclosure rules. We are looking for a person who is able to independently conduct excellent research and formulate policy advice.

 

Qualifications and requirements:

  • Very good Master's degree in economics or social sciences with a focus on economics; PhD in economics or social sciences desirable;
  • Proven knowledge and research experience in the area of green finance and financial system development;
  • Proven knowledge and experience in policy advice would be an asset;
  • Fluent spoken and written English, good command of German language is preferable;
  • Proven knowledge in quantitative research methods would be an asset;
  • Willingness and aptness to travel abroad, including countries with a tropical climate (“Tropentauglichkeit”).
